Share a 3D tour with the client

Send the client a link or a QR code that opens one area in 3D on their phone, branded as yours, with the sound they will hear, and know how long the link lasts.

On this page

A client cannot hear a system before it is installed. A shared 3D tour comes close: a link, or a QR code, that opens one area on their phone as a walk-in 3D room, with the speakers, the coverage and the predicted level to scale, and music playing from the speakers you placed.

Share an area

  1. Select the area on the plan.
  2. Open Present in the top bar and choose Share client 3D.
  3. A QR code appears. Show it to the client to scan, or copy the link and send it.
  4. To see exactly what they will see, choose Preview client view.

You need to be signed in to the portal to create a share.

Note

Share links expire after 90 days by default, and you can revoke a link sooner. A link shows the area as it was when you shared it: after a change, share the area again to update it.

What the client sees

  1. A welcome screen with your logo and company name, and a short summary of the design: how many speakers, the target level and the size of the room.
  2. Explore your room in 3D puts them inside the room, standing, with an invitation to put on earphones and turn the sound on.
  3. An on-screen joystick to walk, push up to move and tilt to turn, while the level, the direction and the reverberation change with every step. On a computer, the W A S D keys move instead.
  4. A live readout of the level where they stand, colour-coded against the area’s target, and the room’s size.
  5. Overview steps back out to the doll’s-house view, with Heatmap and Coverage to switch on.

On a phone, Look around uses the gyroscope: the client holds the phone up and turns to look around the room. A small “Powered by Lyra” line sits in the footer.

Your brand on the tour

The logo and company name come from the Your Company box in the proposal settings. Your company name and contact fill in from your portal account; add your logo there once and it appears on the tour’s welcome screen and on every report. See Build the client proposal and price the job.

Use your own music

Music, in the toolbar, has two choices: Upload a track, an MP3, or Use default music. The track is trimmed to about 35 seconds and resized so that it fits inside the shared tour, so the client hears your music too; the share window confirms it is included. The track is stored on this device and remembered, and the button shows Music ✓ while a custom track is loaded.

Hear it before you share it

Test sound opens the same walk-in on your own machine, with no link or QR code. See Review in 3D and walk and listen.

The QR code in the report

The audio report prints a “Click or scan for the 3D tour” QR code under each area’s 3D view, so anyone reading the PDF can open that area on their phone with one scan.
