Troubleshooting

I cannot see my plan

The drawing or the rooms have gone from the canvas. Bring them back without moving a room or a device, by checking the view, the floor, Fit and the background.

On this page

The canvas is empty, or the architect’s drawing has disappeared from behind your rooms. Usually the view has moved, not the design: nothing is lost, and these checks bring it back without moving a single room or device.

Check these, in order

  1. Check the view and the floor. Choose Plan above the canvas. Then look at the floor selector in the Project explorer: each floor has its own rooms and its own background, so make sure the floor you expect is the active one.
  2. Bring the drawing into view. Choose Fit in the canvas dock. If you zoomed or panned into an empty corner, Fit brings the whole design back.
  3. Check the background. If the rooms are there but the reference drawing is not, open Plan & background in the Project explorer and check that a drawing was imported on this floor.

What you should see

The current floor and its room outlines appear together, with the drawing behind them. Zoom and pan change your viewpoint only; they never change where anything is installed.

Still missing?

  • The side columns are hidden. If the Project explorer and the Inspector have gone too, Focus is on. Press Focus again, or Esc.
  • You are on another project. Check the project name in the top bar. Project → Projects in this browser lists the designs this browser has saved. See Where is my project saved?
  • The drawing was never imported on this floor. Import it again and set its scale. See Import a floor plan and set its scale.
